Ascended Heroes Pull Rates Revealed — Here’s How the Numbers Stack Up

After weeks of speculation, the Ascended Heroes Pull Rates Revealed finally have been confirmed. The data comes from large-scale openings conducted by TCGplayer, which analyzed results from more than 2,000 booster packs. Notably, “god packs” were excluded from the dataset, meaning the numbers reflect standard pack odds only.
Here’s a full breakdown of what players can expect — and how this set compares to recent releases.
Mega Hyper Rares: Significantly Easier to Pull
One of the biggest surprises in Ascended Heroes is the improved availability of Mega Hyper Rares.
Average pull rate: 1 in 540 packs
Previous benchmark: 1 in 1,260 packs
That’s more than double the pull rate seen in both Mega Evolution and Phantasmal Flames, making Mega Hyper Rares far more attainable this time around.
Special Illustration Rares: Better Odds, Bigger Pool
Special Illustration Rares (SIRs) are landing at:
1 in 70 packs
That’s an improvement over:
Phantasmal Flames (1 in 80 packs)
Mega Evolution (1 in 101 packs)
However, there’s a catch — Ascended Heroes features a larger lineup of SIR cards. While you’re statistically more likely to pull an SIR, targeting a specific one may actually be more difficult due to the expanded card pool.
Introducing Mega Attack Rares
The new rarity tier, Mega Attack Rares, debuts with solid pull rates:
1 in 29 packs
These cards replace the Ultra Rare slot in packs, which has slightly shifted the overall rarity balance.
Ultra Rares: Slightly Harder to Find
Because Mega Attack Rares now occupy the Ultra Rare position, traditional Ultra Rares are showing up less frequently:
Current rate: 1 in 21 packs
Previous rate: 1 in 12 packs
Collectors chasing standard Ultra Rares may notice the difference.
Familiar Odds for Illustration & Double Rares
Some things haven’t changed:
Illustration Rares: 1 in 9 packs (unchanged)
Double Rares: 1 in 5 packs (unchanged)
These consistency rates should feel familiar to collectors from recent expansions.
Overall Takeaway
Ascended Heroes appears to offer improved access to its highest-tier Mega Hyper Rares and stronger overall SIR odds compared to previous sets. However, with more cards in certain rarity tiers and a reshuffled Ultra Rare slot, strategy and luck still play major roles in pulling specific chase cards.
For collectors and competitive players alike, the numbers suggest this set may be one of the more rewarding openings in recent memory — especially if you’re hunting top-tier Mega cards.
Are you planning to open packs or buy singles this time around?
