Deoxys’ 4 Forms Revealed in Ninja Spinner – Mega Floette ex, Gourgeist ex & More!

All four forms of Deoxys have officially been revealed from the upcoming Japanese set Ninja Spinner, arriving March 13th and later adapted into the English set Chaos Rising this May. Alongside Deoxys, the set introduces powerful new Psychic-type strategies, a massive Mega Evolution, disruptive Stadium cards, and fresh Metal-type support. Here’s a complete breakdown of the latest reveals for Portal TCG readers.

Deoxys Returns in All Four Forms

The mysterious Mythical Pokémon Deoxys headlines Ninja Spinner with four distinct versions, each reflecting one of its classic forms and offering unique tactical value.

Deoxys – HP110

A flexible setup attacker.

  • [C] Genome Charge – Attach up to 2 Basic Psychic Energy from your deck to this Pokémon, then shuffle.

  • [P][P][C] Psychic – 80+: Deals 20 more damage for each Energy attached to your opponent’s Active Pokémon.

  • Weakness: Darkness (x2)

  • Resistance: Fighting (-30)

  • Retreat: 1

This version accelerates its own Energy while punishing heavily loaded opposing attackers.

Deoxys – HP120

High-risk, high-reward spread pressure.

  • [P][P][P] Psy Spear – 120If it has at least 2 extra Energy attached, it also deals 120 damage to one of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon.

  • Retreat: 2

A devastating mid-game threat capable of swinging momentum with massive bench damage.

Deoxys – HP130

Ability counter specialist.

  • [P][P][C] Psy Protect – 80During your opponent’s next turn, prevent all damage from Pokémon that have Abilities.

  • Retreat: 3

This form directly targets Ability-heavy decks, forcing difficult attack sequencing.

Deoxys – HP100

Speed and draw support.

  • [P] Psy Speed – 30Draw until you have 5 cards in your hand.

  • Retreat: 0

With free retreat and built-in draw power, this version provides strong utility and pivot potential.

Mega Floette ex Blooms Into Battle

The standout Mega Evolution of the set is Mega Floette ex, a Basic Psychic-type with an enormous 250 HP.

  • [P] Gentle Light – Heal 30 damage from each Pokémon (both yours and your opponent’s).

  • [P][P][P] Eternity Bloom – 200Search your deck for up to 4 Basic Psychic Energy and attach them to your Benched Pokémon in any way you like.

  • Mega Evolution ex Rule – When Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards.

  • Weakness: Metal (x2)

  • Retreat: 1

Eternity Bloom provides explosive Energy acceleration, enabling massive Psychic-type setups in a single turn.

Gourgeist ex Brings the Horror

Gourgeist ex evolves from Pumpkaboo and boasts 270 HP.

  • [P] Horror Rondo – 30+Does 50 more damage for each of your Benched Pokémon with damage counters.

  • [P][P] Ghost Touch – 140Discard a random card from your opponent’s hand.

  • Pokémon ex Rule – Opponent takes 2 Prize cards when Knocked Out.

Horror Rondo synergizes with self-damage strategies and spread decks, potentially reaching massive damage numbers.

Supporting it are:

  • Phantump with Envious Evolution, allowing evolution on the first turn it’s in play (at the cost of 2 damage counters).

  • Trevenant, which blocks Energy attachments with Cursed Roots and scales damage with Overpain.

  • Pumpkaboo as a simple Basic attacker.

Xerneas Powers Up Psychic Decks

Xerneas joins the lineup with a scaling attack:

  • [P][P][P] Geostorm – 30×Deals 30 damage times the number of Psychic Energy attached to all your Pokémon.

In heavy Energy acceleration builds, Geostorm has enormous late-game potential.

Metal Gets a Boost: Cobalion ex

Psychic decks aren’t the only winners. Cobalion ex arrives as a 210 HP Basic Metal-type.

  • Ability: Metal RoadWhen moved from Bench to Active, you may move any amount of Metal Energy to it.

  • [M][M][C] Power Tackle – 200This Pokémon can’t attack next turn.

  • Pokémon ex Rule – 2 Prize cards when Knocked Out.

Paired with the new Supporter Philippe, which attaches up to 2 Basic Metal Energy from the discard pile, Metal decks gain strong acceleration and mobility tools.

Stadium Wars: Ange Floette vs. Prism Tower

Two new Stadiums introduce strategic tension:

  • Ange Floette – Can only be played by discarding Prism Tower in play. Each Mega Floette ex gains +150 HP.

  • Prism Tower – Once during each player’s turn, they may discard 2 cards to draw 1.

Ange Floette transforms Mega Floette ex into a towering 400 HP threat, while Prism Tower offers steady hand filtering for both players.

Magnet Metal Energy

Magnet [M] Energy provides Metal Energy and removes the Retreat Cost of any Metal Pokémon it’s attached to—boosting mobility for decks built around Cobalion ex and other Metal attackers.

Final Thoughts

Ninja Spinner is shaping up to be a defining Psychic-focused expansion with powerful Energy acceleration, spread damage, and disruptive effects. Deoxys offers flexibility across four tactical roles, Mega Floette ex introduces explosive scaling potential, and Metal decks gain meaningful new support.

With Chaos Rising bringing these cards to the English format in May, competitive players should already be testing Psychic acceleration builds and preparing for a potentially Ability-heavy metagame shift.
